Fishing tours in Lofoten 2005  
 
In February, when big fish, ready to spawn come into the Vestfjord, the pamous and adventurous cod fishing seson starts in Lofoten. The fjord becomes a lively melting pot, filled to the brim with boats, fishermen and fish. This area is one of the most beautiful stots in the world, steep mountains beautifully framing the fjord. At this time of year the mountains are covered in white snow and the clear water reveals the secrets of the fjord`s foor even in its deepest areas. The light in this part of Norway is spectacular. You can picture an eagle soaring over the fjord against a back drop of mountains imprinted on velvet blue sky -  en experience you`ll remember for a long time. It is also possible to visit small fishing villages like Stamsund og Henningsvær where you can learn more about how they dry and juerk the fish. This is not only a fantastic fishingtrip - it is an out of the ordinary life-time experience.

S/S Vega is available  for single daytrips or for trips of 5 days duration in the period form February to mid April. She is an wxtraordinary and extremely capable sailing ship. The facilities onboard are exellent with 6 cabins and room for up to 12 persons. The boat has tow toilets and a shower. There are two dining/livingrooms equipped with TV/Video/Projector, fitted in mahogany and brass. For preserving the fish we have a huge freezer onboard. The deck is spacious and the boat is fully certified for these kinds of tours.
